Working at Peninsula Villages
Once you join the staff at Peninsula Village you will be given a supported orientation to ease you into our workplace.
Our staff complete a two day orientation program to learn about our Village, and are given at least two days of buddy shifts with a trained mentor. And staff are always provided with ongoing support from a team of educators.
Your skills and knowledge will be further developed through our Professional Development Portfolio, which is a guided program to ensure you have all the necessary knowledge and competence to provide top quality care to our residents.
Aged care is a rapidly growing industry that is in constant need of workers to cater to rising numbers in the ageing population.
A worker in the aged care industry needs to be equipped with specific skills to support older people with everyday life activities to maintain their wellbeing. A CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) will provide you with these skills.
This qualification is seen by many employers in the industry as the minimum entry-level qualification required to work in aged care.
Upon completion of this qualification, you will have gained the necessary skills required to pursue a rewarding and secure career in the aged care industry.
Training under JobTrainer is fee-free and fully funded by the NSW and Commonwealth governments. Eligibility criteria apply.
