Peninsula Villages is proud to celebrate Charlotte Laverack, who was recognised as an Emerging Leader Finalist in the 2025 Palliative Care Australia National Palliative Care Awards.
Charlotte, who provides dedicated and compassionate care to residents in Peninsula Villages’ community, Don Leggett House, was one of only three finalists in her category. She attended the awards ceremony in Brisbane, where leaders in the field gathered to honour excellence in palliative care across the country.
Speaking to The Australian Ageing Agenda, Charlotte said she felt “incredibly honoured” to be recognised for her work, adding:
“Supporting people and their families during such an important stage of life is a privilege and getting recognised for that work means a great deal to me.”
Charlotte described the experience as amazing and expressed her gratitude for the opportunity.
“Charlotte’s passion and commitment to our residents truly embodies the values of Peninsula Villages,” said the team.
“We are incredibly proud of her achievements and the positive impact she makes every day.”
A special thank you also goes to Social Worker Nicky Wright, who nominated Charlotte for the award.
