This holiday season, the spirit of generosity and community was on full display at Peninsula Villages. Lesley and Anthea from The Salvation Army Australia’s Umina branch were all smiles in December as they received a bounty of heartfelt gifts from the Peninsula Villages Giving Tree. The heartwarming gesture highlighted the power of community spirit and the joy of giving during the festive season.
The Giving Tree initiative, driven by the compassion of Peninsula Villages’ staff and families, aimed to bring Christmas cheer to children and families in need. Donations poured in throughout the lead-up to Christmas, filling the Giving Tree with gifts and essential items that will undoubtedly make the holiday season brighter for those facing hardship.
Lesley and Anthea, representing The Salvation Army’s Umina branch, expressed their gratitude as they collected the donations this month. Their smiles reflected the joy and hope that these gifts will bring to vulnerable children and families in the local community.
This year’s Giving Tree initiative continues a long standing tradition of the residential aged care community supporting those in need. By coming together as a community, Peninsula Villages has made a meaningful difference in the lives of many vulnerable locals.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to every resident, staff member and family who contributed to this wonderful cause. Your generosity has exemplified the true meaning of Christmas.
