Peninsula Village is currently looking for a Wellness Assistant to join our team at on the beautiful Central Coast.

Reporting to the Facility Manager, you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to our onsite allied health professionals to fulfil our consumer’s care plans and meet their treatment needs. This is a permanent part-time opportunity of 32 hours a week. We’re happy to consider flexible working options.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist our onsite physiotherapist with setting up of equipment.
  • Undertake equipment audits and liaise with management to coordinate repairs.
  • Facilitate group exercise sessions and hydrotherapy sessions.
  • Apply heat packs and carry out massages as directed.
  • Provide information to consumers and their families regarding ordering of specialised furniture and aids.
  • Ordering of stock, and data entry.

 

About you:

  • Commitment to engage and align with Peninsula Village ICCARE Values.
  • Certificate IV in Allied Health (or similar).
  • An ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Self-motivated, and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Sound computer literacy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful of the rights and needs of others.
  • An understanding of Consumer Directed Care.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
