Peninsula Villages has been announced as a finalist in the 2020 NSW/ACT Regional Achievement and Community Awards.

The Awards encourage, acknowledge and reward the valuable contributions that individuals, communities and businesses make throughout regional NSW and the ACT. Peninsula Villages has been awarded a finalist nomination in the Prime Super Employer Excellence in Aged Care Award category.

With an ageing population, aged care facilities and the services they provide are an important part of the lives of an ever-increasing number of people. The Employer Excellence in Aged Care Award recognises and acknowledges businesses, organisations and not for profits who have a strong focus on staff engagement, safety and wellbeing, training and providing staff with higher education learning opportunities and development. The Award will also recognise the provision of quality services for clients, patients and residents.

“We are delighted to be recognised in these state awards for our commitment to being an Employer of Choice in the aged care industry and on the Central Coast,” explained Chief Executive Officer, Shane Neaves.

“Peninsula Villages strives to be a leader in staff relations and providing a safe, stable working environment conducive of productivity and inclusivity. Recognising the need to make a modern change in our staff approach, we began a journey towards creating a culture that promotes wellbeing in the workplace.

“Over the last year, Peninsula Villages has been implementing a team wellbeing program with a focus on healthy lifestyle checks, exercise and fitness initiatives, staff social responsibility programs and a series of social events for team bonding,” added Shane.
