Peninsula Villages Receive Positive Feedback from Re-Accreditation

An audit team from the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency visited Peninsula Villages this March for re-accreditation purposes, surveying and reporting on resident experiences.

10% of Peninsula Villages resident population were selected at random and were asked various questions about their quality of living, staff behaviour, healthcare needs and other aspects of life at the Village.

Peninsula Villages received very positive responses from the survey with the following outcomes:

  • Residents feel very safe living at Peninsula Villages
  • Peninsula Villages staff members treat residents with high levels of respect and communicate well with them
  • Healthcare needs of residents are being met and prioritised
  • 95% or participants agreed or strongly agreed that they are encouraged to do as much as possible for themselves
  • All survey participants said they agree or strongly agree that:

  • There’s always a staff member to talk to if they feel worried or sad
  • Staff know what they are doing
  • Peninsula Villages is run well
  • These results have seen the re-accreditation of Peninsula Villages as an aged care facility and has also given a positive snapshot of resident’s happiness and lifestyle at the Village.
